I was absolutely thrilled to receive some products from Skincity’s highly anticipated skincare range. I put them through their paces and added them into my routine. Although I haven’t had chance to see the long term effects, I wanted to share my initial thoughts about the range.

Mellow Cleanser

My Thoughts

I’ve been using this for a first cleanse in the evenings. The texture is so thick, dense & smooth. When I applied this I worried it would leave my skin greasy & clogged as the texture felt so thick. There was no real scent I was aware of, which is great for the fragrance haters. I was so pleasantly surprised when I added water, the thick gel texture emulsified instantly & beautifully. It melted away my make up so easily. I removed with a flannel and my skin felt like a dream. So soft, clean, smooth, but not tight, perfect to continue the rest of my routine!

Soft Foaming Cleaner

My Thoughts

The ‘foaming’ in the title made me a little nervous when trying this, as I always associate foaming with stripping, however I’d say it more of a creamy lather than a foam. The texture is lovely, velvety and nourishing, it lathers up beautifully. After using my skin felt soft, smooth and content, not tight or stripped. The perfect cleanser for a morning or evening second cleanse.

First Concentrate

“Works to improve skin health with every application while enhancing the results of any product applied after it“

Contains: 10% Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol and Glycerin, Allantoin and Oat Kernal Oil, Liquorice Root Extract, Vitamin C and Resveratrol.

My Thoughts

The serum is packed with incredible ingredients! It’s thin in texture and one pump is enough for my whole face. It feels light, absorbs relatively quickly and leaves my skin ready for the next stage in my routine. I slotted this into my morning routine after cleansing & toning. It works well under make up with no piling or greasiness. I have noticed a change in my skin since using it, leaving it brighter, my skin tone is starting to even out and break outs seem reduced.

24h Light emulsion

My Thoughts

The light 24hr emulsion is a slightly thinner texture than the Rich emulsion, it provides a great boost of moisture without being too heavy, perfect for an oilier skin or summer weather.

Both are fab moisturisers, they don’t have a noticeable fragrance and absorb beautifully! They sit so well under make up, no piling or makeup slide.

My Thoughts

I thought the 24hr Rich Emulsion might be too much for my oily/combo skin, but this colder weather has been calling for more moisture. The texture is thicker and more luxurious, but not a greasy or suffocating texture. The cream absorbs so well with out leaving a sticky or greasy film on my skin. This is a dream! I used every last drop and I will be repurchasing, it has really helped my dehydration!
