La Lune Noire Brand Review

I was gifted these items by La Lune Noire, but as always will be giving my honest review & opinion. The brand claim to be 100% natural, vegan & cruelty free skincare. I have to say before receiving these products I hadn’t heard of the brand before, so was interested to check them out.

The Products

Hydro Boosting Eye Cream

Combining natural oils and extracts, our eye cream helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, which can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water, this pro-age eye cream intensely hydrates to smooth and soften the eye area. Green tea extract firms and tightens, while argan oil and shea butter effectively nourish

I am always searching for a new eye cream that will hold moisture throughout the day. The first thing most skincare freaks will notice in the description…shea butter. A lot of people really avoid this in skincare as it can cause breakouts. I think if this was in the moisturiser for my entire face, I would avoid it too as my T Zone wouldn’t be able to handle it. However, since this is just around the eye area I have given it a go. The cream seems to have no obvious scent, the texture is a lovely cream and felt so smooth and soft on application. My eye area is often dehydrated and a lot of products I have tried don’t tend to hold the moisture throughout the day. I felt this eye cream really packed a punch, lets not pretend it’s a miracle worker (I mean isn’t botox) but it kept my eye area hydrated and soothed throughout the day. I will continue to test over a longer period of time to see if this had any lasting effects.

Ingredients
Skin Perfecting Clear Skin Moisturiser

Our clear skin moisturiser effectively tackles blemish prone skin to promote a clearer complexion. Formulated with natural oils and fruit extracts, the anti-inflammatory properties of sea buckthorn oil reduce redness and swelling, while the addition of tea tree leaf oil purifies the skin to tackle spot causing bacteria

The texture of this moisturiser appears quite thick initially, you don’t need a lot of product. It is very smooth and creamy, with no obvious strong fragrance. I have combination skin which is prone to blemishes, so I’m always wary of thicker creams. The ingredients are below. On application the cream feels like velvet and absorbs well without any greasiness. I have been using this for just over a week now and have to say I really like it. It hasn’t caused any breakouts or irritation, and has kept my skin hydrated even in this cold weather. It wears well under makeup and I haven’t experienced any pilling or make up slip when using this.

Ingredients Overview
Skin Perfecting Spot Treatment Gel

Enriched with Aloe Vera to rebalance oil levels, our spot treatment gel fights the toughest breakouts while soothing and healing. Our targeted treatment combines Sea buckthorn fruit oil to reduce redness and swelling, with the anti-bacterial properties of tea tree leaf oil purifying the skin to eliminate spot causing bacteria”

This product is more of a gel than a cream, you can instantly smell the tea tree, however it isn’t overpowering and dissipates quickly. With this spot treatment a little goes a long way, one pump would probably cover a couple of spots without any problem. It applied easily and absorbs quickly. It feels very light and didn’t leave any stickiness or residue. I tend to use pure tea tree oil on my spots, which can often be too drying, so this is a great combination of spot treating without stripping the skin. I applied this at night, directly onto blemishes after cleansing and gently rubbed in the gel until absorbed. If I am honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this product, but I was actually really surprised by the results. In the morning the inflammation was significantly reduced, my spots were less angry and red. Don’t get me wrong, they hadn’t disappeared, but the treatment seemed to have calmed my blemishes down and reduced any swelling! This is definitely going in my skincare bag and won’t be leaving my side haha.

Ingredients Overview

Over all, I didn’t have any expectations from this brand having never heard of them before. I have been pleasantly surprised! They have product ranges based on skin type or requirements. I have really enjoyed testing these products and have got my eye on a few more that intrigued me on their website. The price range isn’t too bad either, a would say a middle of the range budget in terms of skincare – the spot treatment is a steal at £12!

All the thoughts, experiences and opinions are mine, others may have different experiences.
