Clockface Beauty – Review

I love discovering small brands with great values and this brand really ticks all of the boxes. This company is local to me, based in York. I was super excited to try out a couple of their products.

Who are they?

“Clockface Beauty skincare range is 100% natural, organic and vegan, made in Yorkshire. It’s also why every treatment we create, for men and women, has nothing else added. No added water or emulsifiers, no parabens or silicone, no sulphates, synthetic chemicals or artificial fragrances – just 100% natural ingredients, pure and simple. That’s our all-natural promise”

“Everything we make, we produce ourselves, cruelty-free, Vegan Society-registered, and with clear, honest labelling that reassures you what you’re feeding your skin is 100% natural, ethical and proven to make a difference”.

Hand & Cuticle Oil

What is it?

“A fast-acting, hydrating and soothing blend of targeted oils, this all-natural formula is designed to gently moisturise even the driest hands and cuticles, leaving skin feeling soft, smooth and supple”

How do you use it?

I used the dropper to put about 2 or 3 drops of the oil on to the back of my hand.  I then rubbed the oil into my skin and hands. I keep this on my desk and use it as and when I need an extra boost of hydration.

Initial Thoughts

I have to say, I don’t really use hand products.  I have been put off in the past by greasy hand creams that leave your hands feeling sweaty and slippy.  This oil is the perfect compromise.  It really nourishes my skin, leaving them supple and soft, without the greasiness!  The idea of an oil made me nervous, but it is more of a dry finish than an oily finish.  The oil itself is naturally antibacterial, aids healing, smooths wrinkles and moisturises hands.  The smell is gorgeous too, like visiting a spa! Yay!

Signature lip balm

What is it?

“Our most luxurious and enriching treatment for dry or irritated lips, this organic balm is packed with the benefits of nine natural ingredients for full, hydrated and nourished lips, every day”.

How to use it?

This is another staple I have been keeping firmly on my desk. Simple to use and pretty fool proof – just swipe across your lips as needed.

Initial Thoughts

I often find I like lip balms, but the more I use them, the dryer my lips become.  I don’t even know if thats possible, but it is something I experience. I thought it would be worth seeing how I get on with this lip balm.  It is smooth to apply and it seemed to soothe my lips.  It has a subtle scent of shea butter, rosemary, myrrh and frankincense, which isn’t over powering. I made sure I haven’t over done the application of the balm and keep it on my desk, I probably apply it twice a day.  I feel it keeps my lips very smooth, hydrated and soft.  The perfect prep for lipstick!
