I managed to get my hands on this thanks to @carolinehirons and her offer with Votary.

What is it?

This product claims to:

“target existing blemishes with 2% salicylic acid and soothing tamanu oil. Specifically developed to dissolve dead skin cells and improve blemish recovery time, leaving your skin healed and healthy“.

I have always been wary of oils as I have oily/combination skin, but really wanted to give this a go.

How do I use it?

I use on cleansed skin, putting a drop onto my fingers and massaging into my blemish in a circular motion as directed. I tend to do this at night but you can do morning and night. It does have a light fragrance.

Initial Thoughts

This oil is actually crazy…for me, it just seems to accelerate the life cycle of my blemish. If it’s just starting out, it brings the spot out and then proceeds to heal it, if it’s over the worst, it seems to speed up the final healing and reduction of inflammation & redness. I really like this oil and love the way it gets you through your blemish a lot faster than normal.

PROS:

1. Speeds up life cycle of blemish
2. Easy to add into a routine and easy to use
3. A little goes a long way
4. Absorbs quickly without residue

CONS:

1. Not cheap at £35 for 15ml
2. Can bring your spot out, so beware if you have an occasion coming up haha
