I was sent the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo to try out! I have used dry shampoo many times in the past, but never by Living Proof, so I put to the test!
Who are they?
“Our founders are hair stylists who were fed up with the limitations of conventional products and scientists from outside the beauty industry who werenot confined by preconceived notions of what can and can’t be done. Twenty patents, over 40 products, and more than 100 awards later, we have countless love letters thanking us for making products that keep their promises and for changing lives in ways both big and small”
What is it?
This product is designed to absorb and remove oil, sweat and odour, whilst making your hair look, feel and smell clean. It claims to work on all hair colours and leaves behind virtually no residue or powdery buildup. Living Proof also say it has a time released fragrance, which delivers a light, clean scent throughout the day.
How to use it
Make sure you shake the can well. Hold the canister 6/10 inches from your dry hair and spray section by section. The instructions state to wait 30 seconds to let the powders activate and cleanse, then massage your hair with your fingers or brush your hair to remove any remaining powder. If you need to you can apply more, but the can must be shaken again before respraying.
Living Proof claims this dry shampoo leaves no residue, however they mention, if you see any its just the powders in action, just wait 30 seconds and brush your hair to remove.
All very straight forward for dry shampoo, I didn’t have any problems using this product.
Initial Thoughts
The first thing I noticed about the dry shampoo was the smell, it is just divine! No over powering scent that gets caught in your throat, it is more subtle and delicate.
The spray itself isn’t too powdery, some dry shampoos I have tried before seem to coat my entire room in a white powder. I had to remind myself to constantly shake the can before use, but thats hardly a deal breaker. When I used the spray I could actually notice the difference in how oily my hair looked before and after use and it really lasted throughout the day. It didn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or full of product, which I have experienced before with other dry shampoos.
Overall, I enjoyed using this dry shampoo and I will continue to use it. It left my hair looking clean, smelling great and is a fab pick me up for my hair between washes.
