I stumbled across the lovely little brand on Instagram and was was intrigued by this mask. As everyone know, my skin type is oil/combo prone to break outs, so this mask appealed to me straight away.

What is the product?
This mask has been created for acne prone skin types and is designed to help clear congested pores, reduct the appearance of blackheads and blemishes, whilst clearing your skin of dirt & bacteria.
I was told I must patch test the mask on a small area of my skin if I have sensitive skin, just to make sure no irritation is caused. They also mentioned the mask does tingle, so don’t panic!
How to use it?
This mask comes in powder form, which is great for travel. I added 2 small fish tea spoons of the mask into a little container and added a small amount of water. Be careful not to add too much, otherwise it makes it too runny. I mixed this together to create a paste. I then applied the mask evenly to my face and left for 15mins before rinsing.
Initial Thoughts?
Great for whole face, but I prefer just to use it on my T Zone, where I break out the most. The mixing can be little messy, it is important not too add too much water, otherwise it can be too runny. The mixture did have a slight smell to it, a little fishy?! It is by no means overwhelming and seems to disappear as it dries down. The mask went on smoothly and felt like a nice texture on my skin. This powder can be mixed with water or facial oil, which is great, allowing you to tailor the mask to your needs. The mask did dry down and tightened a little, so to rinse off I dampened the mask and removed with a damp cloth. Don’t use a white cloth to remove…I found I got black everywhere. Once the mask was removed, my skin looked amazing!! My pores actually looked smaller and more refined and redness was reduced. My skin felt seriously smooth, without being stripped. Seriously impressed!
PROS:
- Easy to use
- Reduced redness, refined pores and left skin so smooth
- Can be mixed with water or facial oils
- Affordable
- Great for all skin types
- Cruelty & nasties free
CONS:
- Can be a little messy to mix and remove
- Slight smell which might out people off – but hardly noticable
