Woweee there has been such lot of hype about this mascara!  Not to mention the absolutely amazing launch event Benefit held in the Maldives (unfortunately my invite got lost in the post haha)

What is it?

What is it like to use?

The brush is great for really grabbing every lash, including the tiny bottom lashes.  My lashes are damaged, short and a bit crappy, so I struggle with a lot of mascaras to get the impact I want. It is buildable, however I found the more layers I applied, it did become ever so slightly more clumpy, but nothing dramatic.

Initial Thoughts

A very good mascara, the impact from one coat was pretty impressive! The wand works very well and although I haven’t coated my bottom lashes in my photo, the bristles are small enough to really get in there and catch the teeny tiny lashes. One of the main things for me with previous Benefit mascaras is the smudging, but this one actually hasn’t budged an inch! Overall I am very impressed with this mascara, but the price is a little steep! The photo below shows the top pic without mascara and bottom with 2 coats, you can see the clumping a little. Please ignore my unruly eyebrows! After a few uses the best method for me is to shimmy the brush from side to side at the base of my lashes, then slowly pull the brush up from base to the tip of my lashes and repeat several times.

PROS:

1. Great wand – catches even the tiniest lashes.
2. Amazing results with only one coat!
3. No smudging or transfer onto my under eye area – bonus!!
4. Buildable – you can really work with the wand to get the desired effect.
5. Lasts all day!

CONS: 

1. Expensive £21.50 eeek!
2. Although it is buildable, I seemed to get a bit of clumping the more I applied.
